GRILLED BEEF IN BANANA LEAF – Bo nuong la chuoi

Ingredients:

– 50g pork fat

– 500g beef fillet

– 1 teaspoon of salt

– 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

– 1 teaspoon of green pepper corn

– 1 tablespoon of chopped shallot

– ½ tablespoon of chopped   lemongrass

– 1 tablespoon of fish sauce or oyster sauce

– Banana leaves

Preparation:

– Pork fat: chopped finely

– Green pepper corn: mashed

– Beef sliced thinly and marinated with above ingredients; then chop finely

– Banana leaves cut into small pieces used to cover the chopped beef

Practice:

    1. Pack the beef with banana leaves: spread cooking oil on a piece of leaf then add a tablespoon chopped beef on and pack it tightly. Make the beef evenly thin inside then cover with another leave and tight it.

    2. Grilled it with low heat

    3. Served with rice paper, vegetable and fermented fish sauce
